حَدَّثَنَا الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍيَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ السَّاعِي عَلَى الْأَرْمَلَةِ وَالْمِسْكِينِ كَالْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ كَالَّذِي يَصُومُ النَّهَارَ وَيَقُومُ اللَّيْلَحَدَّثَنَا الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الدِّيلِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْغَيْثِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو الْغَيْثِ اسْمُهُ سَالِمٌ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُطِيعٍ وَثَوْرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ مَدَنِيٌّ وَثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ شَامِيٌّ

Narrated to us [Al Anshari], narrated to us [Ma'n], narrated to us [Malik] from [Shafwan bin Sulaim], he narrated it as marfu' from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: 'One who provides for the needs of a destitute or poor person, his reward is like that of a mujahid striving in the way of Allah, or one who fasts all day and performs qiyamullail all night.' Narrated to us [Al Anshari], narrated to us [Ma'n], narrated to us [Malik] from [Ats Tsaur bin Zaid Ad Dili] from [Abul Ghaits] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similarly. This hadith is a hasan gharib sahih hadith. Abul Ghaits’s name is Salim, a former slave of Abdullah bin Muthi'. Tsaur bin Zaid is a Madani (from Medina), while Tsaur bin Yazid is a Syami (from Syria).
