حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ وَعَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ذَكَرَ أَحَدُهُمَاعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعَلَ يَدُسُّ فِي فِي فِرْعَوْنَ الطِّينَ خَشْيَةَ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَيَرْحَمَهُ اللَّهُ أَوْ خَشْيَةَ أَنْ يَرْحَمَهُ اللَّهُقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Abdul a'la Ash Shan'ani] has told us [Khalid bin Al Harith] has told us [Syu'bah] has told me [Adi bin Tsabit] and [Atho` bin As Sa`ib] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Abbas], one of them mentioned from the Prophetpeace be upon him that he told, Jibril 'alaihis salam stuffing soil into Pharaoh's mouth because he was afraid that he would say Laa ilaaha illAllah and then Allah would have mercy on him or was afraid that Allah would shower mercy on him. Abu Isa said that this hadith hasan shahih gharib.
