أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ زِرَّ بْنَ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ{ فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى }فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ وَلَهُ سِتُّ مِائَةِ جَنَاحٍقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ

Narrated to us [Ahmad bin Mani'] has told us [Abbad bin Al Awwam] has told us [Ash Syaibani] said: I asked [Zirr bin Hubaisy] about the words of Allah 'azza wajalla: "So it will be close (to Muhammad's distance) two ends of the bow or closer (more)." (An Najm: 9) he answered: It has been reported to me [Ibn Mas'ud] that the prophetpeace be upon him saw Gabriel, he had six hundred wings. Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan gharib authentic.
