حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ وَيُونُسَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ الْأَحْنَفِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَخَرَجْتُ وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ يَعْنِي فِي الْقِتَالِ فَلَقِيَنِي أَبُو بَكْرَةَ فَقَالَ ارْجِعْ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِذَا تَوَاجَهَ الْمُسْلِمَانِ بِسَيْفَيْهِمَا فَالْقَاتِلُ وَالْمَقْتُولُ فِي النَّارِ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا الْقَاتِلُ فَمَا بَالُ الْمَقْتُولِ قَالَ إِنَّهُ أَرَادَ قَتْلَ صَاحِبِهِحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُتَوَكِّلِ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ مُخْتَصَرًا

Narrated to us[Abu Kamil], from [Hammad bin Zayd] from ['Ayyub] and [Yunus] from [Al-Hasan] from [Al-Ahnaf bin Qays], who said: "When I went out—for war—[Abu Bakrah] met me and said: 'Return home! I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "If two Muslims confront each other with drawn swords, then either the killer or the killed will enter Hell."'" He (the narrator) said: "If the killer deserves Hell, but what about the killed?" He said: "Because he also wanted to kill his brother." Narrated to us[Muhammad Ibn Al-Mutawakkil Al-Asqalani], from ['Abdurrazzaq] who narrated to us [Ma'mar] from ['Ayyub] from [Al-Hasan] with the chain and meaning briefly.
