حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنْ النَّارِقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَعَائِشَةَ وَجَابِرٍ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ هُوَ ابْنُ جَزْءٍ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ وَمُعَيْقِيبٍ وَخَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ وَشُرَحْبِيلَ ابْنِ حَسَنَةَ وَعَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ وَيَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ وَبُطُونِ الْأَقْدَامِ مِنْ النَّارِ قَالَ وَفِقْهُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنَّهُ لَا يَجُوزُ الْمَسْحُ عَلَى الْقَدَمَيْنِ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْهِمَا خُفَّانِ أَوْ جَوْرَبَانِ

Narrated to us [Qutaibah], he said: narrated to us [‘Abdul ‘Aziz bin Muhammad] from [Suhayl bin Abi Salih] from his father from [Abu Hurairah]: The Prophet, may Allah’s peace be upon him, said: "Woe to the heels from the Fire." In this chapter there are also narrations from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr, ‘A’ishah, Jabir bin ‘Abdullah, Ibn Al-Harith (Ibn Jaz’ Az-Zubaydi), Mu‘ayqib, Khalid Ibn Al-Walid, Shurahbil bin Hasanah, ‘Amr Ibn Al-‘As and Yazid bin Abi Sufyan. Abu Isa said: "The hadith of Abu Hurairah is hasan sahih." It is narrated from the Prophet, may Allah’s peace be upon him: "Woe to the heels and the inner soles from the Fire." Abu Isa said: "The fiqh of this hadith: one may not wipe the feet unless wearing khufs or socks."
