حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ وَتَقَارَبَا فِي اللَّفْظِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُجَاءُ بِالْمَوْتِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُ كَبْشٌ أَمْلَحُ زَادَ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ فَيُوقَفُ بَيْنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ وَاتَّفَقَا فِي بَاقِي الْحَدِيثِ فَيُقَالُ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ هَلْ تَعْرِفُونَ هَذَا فَيَشْرَئِبُّونَ وَيَنْظُرُونَ وَيَقُولُونَ نَعَمْ هَذَا الْمَوْتُ قَالَ وَيُقَالُ يَا أَهْلَ النَّارِ هَلْ تَعْرِفُونَ هَذَا قَالَ فَيَشْرَئِبُّونَ وَيَنْظُرُونَ وَيَقُولُونَ نَعَمْ هَذَا الْمَوْتُ قَالَ فَيُؤْمَرُ بِهِ فَيُذْبَحُ قَالَ ثُمَّ يُقَالُ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ خُلُودٌ فَلَا مَوْتَ وَيَا أَهْلَ النَّارِ خُلُودٌ فَلَا مَوْتَ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ { وَأَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ } وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أُدْخِلَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ النَّارَ قِيلَ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَيْضًا وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا

Narrated to us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] and [Abu Kuraib], their texts are similar, both said: Narrated to us [Abu Mu'awiyah] from [Al A'masy] from [Abu Shalih] from [Abu Sa'id] who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Death is brought on the Day of Resurrection like a speckled sheep—Abu Kuraib added: And placed between Paradise and Hell, the rest of the hadith is the same—then it is said: O inhabitants of Paradise, do you know this? They look up and say: Yes, it is death. Death is laid down and slaughtered, then it is said to the inhabitants of Hell: O inhabitants of Hell, do you know this? They look up and say: Yes, it is death. He said: Then death is ordered to be slaughtered, and it is said: O inhabitants of Paradise, eternity with no death, and O inhabitants of Hell, eternity with no death.' Then he recited: 'And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter is decided, while they are heedless and do not believe.' (Maryam: 39) He pointed his hand to the world. Narrated to us [Utsman bin Abu Syaibah], narrated to us [Jarir] from [Al A'masy] from [Abu Shalih] from [Abu Sa'id] who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'When the inhabitants of Paradise enter Paradise and the inhabitants of Hell enter Hell, it is said: O inhabitants of Paradise,' then he mentioned like the meaning of Abu Mu'awiyah's hadith, but he mentioned: That is Allah's saying, Mighty and Exalted, without mentioning: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recited, nor did he mention: He pointed his hand to the world.
