Narrated by Ayyash, narrated by Abdul A'la, narrated by Sa'id, and Khalifah Sa'dto me, narrated by Yazid bin Zurai', narrated by Sa'id, from Qatadah, from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: 'When a servant is placed in his grave and his companions turn away and leave, such that he hears the sound of their sandals, two angels come to him and make him sit up and say to him: What did you say about this man, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)? He says: I bear witness that he is the servant of Allah and His Messenger. It is said: Look at your seat in the Fire; Allah has replaced it with a seat in Paradise. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He sees them both. As for the disbeliever or the hypocrite, he says: I don?t know, I used to say what people said. It is said: You neither knew nor followed those who knew. Then he is struck with an iron hammer between his ears, and he screams a scream that is heard by those near him, except for the two kinds (jinn and humans).'
