Narrated to us[Abdullah bin Maslamah], from [his father] (in another narration by [Ibn Basysyar] from [Yahya] from [Bahz bin Hakim] from [his father] from [his grandfather]), he said: "I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what are our 'awrah (private parts), who may we expose them to and who not?' He replied: 'Guard your 'awrah except from your wife or your slave.' I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what about a people mixing together in one place (where they see each other's 'awrah)?' He replied: 'If you can, do not let anyone see it.' I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what if one of us is alone?' He replied: 'Allah has more right to your modesty than people.'"
