Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Basysyar], [Al Hasan bin Ali], and [Mahmud bin Ghailan], they said: Narrated to us [Abu Ashim], narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Alqamah bin Martsad] from [Sulaiman bin Buraidah] from [his father], he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Indeed, I previously prohibited you from drinking nabidh stored in vessels made of skin (namely dubba', hantam, and naqir), but a vessel does not make something lawful or unlawful. Every drink that intoxicates is haram.' Abu Isa said: This is a hasan sahih hadith.
