حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَتَأْمُرُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلَتَنْهَوُنَّ عَنْ الْمُنْكَرِ أَوْ لَيُوشِكَنَّ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عِقَابًا مِنْهُ ثُمَّ تَدْعُونَهُ فَلَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَكُمْقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ

Narrated to us [Qutaibah] has told us ['Abdul 'Aziz bin Muhammad] from ['Amr bin Abu 'Amrah] from ['Abdullah Al Ansari] from [Hudhayfah bin Al Yaman] from the Prophet peace be upon him he said: "By the One in whose hand my soul is, you should enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil or else Allah will send His punishment from Himself upon you, then you will ask Him but your prayers will not be answered." Abu Isa said : This hadith is hasan. Narrated to us ['Ali bin Hujr] has informed us [Isma'il bin Ja'far] from ['Amr bin Abu 'Amr] with this isnaad and with a similar hadith.
