حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ أَبِي حَازِمٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كَيْفَ بِكُمْ وَبِزَمَانٍ أَوْ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ زَمَانٌ يُغَرْبَلُ النَّاسُ فِيهِ غَرْبَلَةً تَبْقَى حُثَالَةٌ مِنْ النَّاسِ قَدْ مَرِجَتْ عُهُودُهُمْ وَأَمَانَاتُهُمْ وَاخْتَلَفُوا فَكَانُوا هَكَذَا وَشَبَّكَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ فَقَالُوا وَكَيْفَ بِنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ تَأْخُذُونَ مَا تَعْرِفُونَ وَتَذَرُونَ مَا تُنْكِرُونَ وَتُقْبِلُونَ عَلَى أَمْرِ خَاصَّتِكُمْ وَتَذَرُونَ أَمْرَ عَامَّتِكُمْقَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد هَكَذَا رُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ

Narrated to us [Al Qa'The Prophet], that [Abdul Aziz bin Abu Hazim] narrated to them, from [his father] from [Umarah bin Amru] from [Abdullah bin Amru bin Al Ash], that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "How will you be in a time, or he said, 'Soon a time will come upon you, when the good are gone, and the bad remain. Their promises and trusts are broken, they differ, and they are like this' - he interlaced his fingers. The companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what should we do then?" He replied, "Take what you know (to be true), avoid what you reject, accept what is your right, and leave what belongs to the masses." Abu Dawud said, "Thus this hadith was Narrated to usAbdullah bin Amru from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, through many chains of narration."
