أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْآدَمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ مِنْ النَّارِ فَمَنْ أَصْبَحَ صَائِمًا فَلَا يَجْهَلْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَإِنْ امْرُؤٌ جَهِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَا يَشْتُمْهُ وَلَا يَسُبَّهُ وَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Yazid Al Adami] he said :Narrated to us [Ma'n] from [Kharijah bin Sulaiman] from [Yazid bin Ruman] from ['Urwah] from ['Aisyah] from the Prophet peace be upon him he said: "Fasting is a shield from the fire of hell, whoever fasts, then do not act stupidly at that time, and if someone makes a fool of him, then do not insult him and do not criticize him, let him say, 'I am fasting,' by the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, the aroma of the mouth of a fasting person is more fragrant in the sight of Allah - on the Day of Resurrection - than the aroma of musk."
