Narrated to us by [Qutaibah] narrated to us by [Bakr bin Mudlar] from [Amru bin Al Harts] from [Bukair bin Abdullah bin Al Asyaj] from [Yazid] the freed slave of Salamah bin Al Akwa', from [Salamah bin Al Akwa'] said; 'When the verse descended: 'And whoever cannot fast then let him pay fidyah by feeding a poor person', anyone among us could choose not to fast and pay fidyah until the next verse descended abrogating its ruling.' Abu 'Isa said; 'This is a hasan sahih gharib hadith and Yazid is named: Ibn Abu 'Ubaid the freed slave of Salamah bin Al Akwa'.'
