Narrated to us [Hannad], narrated to us [Waki'] from [Thalhah bin Yahya] from his aunt ['Aisyah binti Thalhah] from [Ummul Mukminin 'Aisyah], she said, one day the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to my house, then asked: "Do you have something (to eat)? She ('Aisyah, may Allah be pleased with her) said, I answered, no. Then he said: "Then I will fast."
