حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَصُومُوا قَبْلَ رَمَضَانَ صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ فَإِنْ حَالَتْ دُونَهُ غَيَايَةٌ فَأَكْمِلُوا ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْمًاوَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي بَكْرَةَ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ

Narrated to us [Qutaibah], narrated to us [Abu Al Ahwash] from [Simak bin Harb] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibnu Abbas], he said the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not fast one day before Ramadan and start fasting after seeing the hilal and break (that is the end of Ramadan) after seeing the hilal, if cloudy complete the count of thirty days". In this chapter (there is also narration -pent) from Abu Hurairah, Abu Bakrah and Ibnu Umar. Abu 'Isa said, the hadith of Ibnu Abbas is a hasan sahih hadith and has been narrated through more than one path.
