أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُفَضَّلٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَسَافَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَامَ حَتَّى بَلَغَ عُسْفَانَ ثُمَّ دَعَا بِإِنَاءٍ فَشَرِبَ نَهَارًا لِيَرَاهُ النَّاسُ ثُمَّ أَفْطَرَ حَتَّى دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ فَافْتَتَحَ مَكَّةَ فِي رَمَضَانَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَصَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي السَّفَرِ وَأَفْطَرَ فَمَنْ شَاءَ صَامَ وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَفْطَرَ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Rafi'] he said :Narrated to us [Yahya bin Adam] he said :Narrated to us [Mufadhdhal] from [Mansur] from [Mujahid] from [Thawus] from [Ibn 'Abbas] he said : "The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him once traveled, and fasted until he reached Usfan, then asked for a glass of water and drank it during the day so that many people could see him, then he broke his fast until he reached Mecca, then conquered Mecca in the month of Ramadlan." Ibn Abbas said : "The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him once fasted while traveling and - once - broke his fast, whoever wants to fast, can fast and whoever wants to break the fast, can break the fast."
