حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍأَنَّ امْرَأَةً يَهُودِيَّةً أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَاةٍ مَسْمُومَةٍ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا فَجِيءَ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ أَرَدْتُ لِأَقْتُلَكَ فَقَالَ مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُسَلِّطَكِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ أَوْ قَالَ عَلَيَّ فَقَالُوا أَلَا نَقْتُلُهَا قَالَ لَا فَمَا زِلْتُ أَعْرِفُهَا فِي لَهَوَاتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Narrated to us [Yahya bin Habib bin Arabi], he said: Narrated to us [Khalid Ibnul Harits], he said: Narrated to us [Syu'bah] from [Hisyam bin Zaid] from [Anas bin Malik], he said: 'A Jewish woman came to the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him bringing poisoned goat meat, then he ate it. After that, the Jewish woman was brought before the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him. He then asked about that, the woman answered: 'I wanted to kill you!' He said: 'Allah will not give you ease to do that, or he said: 'to do (that) to me.' The companions said: 'What if we just kill her?' He said: 'Don't.' Anas said: 'And I still see the remnants of the poison in the throat of the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him.'
