حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَأُنْزِلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعِينَ فَأَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا وَتُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Isma'il], narrated to us [Muhammad bin Basyar], narrated to us [Ibnu Abu 'Adi] from [Hisyam bin Hassan] from ['Ikrimah] from [Ibnu Abbas], he said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, received revelation when he was forty years old, he stayed in Mecca for thirteen years and in Madinah for ten years. He passed away when he was sixty-three years old." Abu Isa said: "This hadith is hasan sahih."
