حَدَّثَنَا الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ أَزْهَرَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يُسْتَجَابُ لِأَحَدِكُمْ مَا لَمْ يَعْجَلْ يَقُولُ دَعَوْتُ فَلَمْ يُسْتَجَبْ لِيقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدٍ اسْمُهُ سَعْدٌ وَهُوَ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ وَيُقَالُ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَزْهَرَ هُوَ ابْنُ عَمِّ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَنَسٍ

Narrated to us [An Anshari], narrated to us [Ma'n], narrated to us [Malik] from [Ibnu Syihab] from [Abu 'Ubaid former slave of Ibnu Azhar] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: The supplication of one of you will be answered as long as he is not hasty, meaning hasty, he says: I have supplicated but my supplication is not answered." Abu Isa said: this hadith is hasan sahih. While Abu 'Ubaid's name is Sa'd he is former slave of Abdur Rahman bin Azhar, and some say: he is former slave of Abdur Rahman bin 'Auf. While Abdur Rahman bin Azhar is the uncle's son of Abdur Rahman bin 'Auf. Abu Isa said: and in this chapter there are narrations from Anas."
