حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الدُّعَاءُ مُخُّ الْعِبَادَةِقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ

Narrated to us [Ali bin Hujr], informed us [Al Walid bin Muslim] from [Ibnu Lahi'ah] from ['Ubaidullah bin Abu Ja'far] from [Aban bin Shalih] from [Anas bin Malik] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: Supplication is the essence of worship." Abu Isa said: this hadith is gharib from this side, we do not know it except from the hadith of Ibnu Luhai'ah."
