حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنْ هَمَّامٍ عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ قَالَرَأَيْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةِ رَجُلٍ فَقَامَ حِيَالَ رَأْسِهِ فَجِيءَ بِجِنَازَةٍ أُخْرَى بِامْرَأَةٍ فَقَالُوا يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ صَلِّ عَلَيْهَا فَقَامَ حِيَالَ وَسَطِ السَّرِيرِ فَقَالَ الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ مِنْ الْجِنَازَةِ مُقَامَكَ مِنْ الرَّجُلِ وَقَامَ مِنْ الْمَرْأَةِ مُقَامَكَ مِنْ الْمَرْأَةِ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ احْفَظُوا

Narrated by [Nashr bin Ali Al Jahdlami], narrated by [Sa'id bin Amir] from [Hammam] from [Abu Ghalib], he said: 'I saw [Anas bin Malik] pray over a man’s funeral, standing by his head. Then a woman’s funeral was brought, and they said, O Abu Hamzah, pray for her. He stood at the middle of the bier. Al ‘Ala bin Ziyad said, O Abu Hamzah, did you see the Messenger of Allah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam stand as you did for the man and the woman? He replied, Yes. Then he turned to us and said, Remember this.'
