أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَسَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَبِي أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الَّذِي أُرِيَ النِّدَاءَ قَالَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَقَلَبَ رِدَاءَهُ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِقَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا غَلَطٌ مِنْ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الَّذِي أُرِيَ النِّدَاءَ هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ وَهَذَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ

Having reported to me [Muhammad bin Mansur] he said :Narrated to us [Sufyan] he said :Narrated to us [Al Mas'udi] from [Abu Bakr bin 'Amru bin Hazm] from ['Abbad bin Tamim], [Sufyan] said : 'I asked ['Abdullah bin Abu Bakr] then he answered; 'I heard it from ['Abbad bin Tamim]; My father told me that ['Abdullah bin Zaid] - the person who dreamed about the call to prayer - said : "The Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam one day went out to the prayer place to ask for rain. He faced the Qibla and turned his shawl, then prayed two rak'ahs." Abu Abdurrahman said : "This is Ibn Uyainah's mistake, Abdullah bin Zaid whose dream about the call to prayer was Abdullah bin Zaid bin Abdu Rabbih, whereas this is Abdullah bin Zaid bin Ashim."
