أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَرْغَبُ فِي قِيَامِ اللَّيْلِ حَتَّى قَالَ وَلَوْ رَكْعَةً

Narrated to us [Abdullah bin Salih] he said:Having told me [Laits] he said:It has been told to me [Ibn 'Ajlan] from [Husain bin Abdullah bin Ubaidullah bin Abbas] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibn Abbas] that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) strongly recommended night prayers until he said: "Even if it is only one rak'ah.
