Abdullah bin Yusuf narrated to us, Malik informed us, from Abdullah bin Yazid and Abu An-Nadr, the freed slave of 'Umar bin 'Ubaidullah, from Abu Salamah bin 'Abdurrahman, from 'Aishah, the Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him would perform prayer seated and recite while seated. When about thirty or forty verses remained, he would stand, recite them standing, then bow and prostrate. He would do the same in the second rak'ah. When he completed his prayer, he would look at me. If I was awake, he would talk with me, and if I was asleep, he would lie down.
