Abdullah bin Yusuf narrated to us, Malik informed us, from Ibn Shihab, from 'Urwah bin Az-Zubair, from 'Aishah, the Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: One night, the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him prayed in the mosque, and people followed his prayer. The next night, he prayed again, and more people joined. On the third or fourth night, many people gathered, but the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him did not come out to them. In the morning, he Sa'd 'I saw what you did, and nothing prevented me from coming out to you except that I feared it would be made obligatory upon you.' This was during Ramadan.
