حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ الْأَزْدِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَىقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى اخْتَلَفَ أَصْحَابُ شُعْبَةَ فِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَرَفَعَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ وَأَوْقَفَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ وَرُوِي عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْعُمَرِيِّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوُ هَذَا وَالصَّحِيحُ مَا رُوِيَ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَرَوَى الثِّقَاتُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ صَلَاةَ النَّهَارِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَبِالنَّهَارِ أَرْبَعًا وَقَدْ اخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِي ذَلِكَ فَرَأَى بَعْضُهُمْ أَنَّ صَلَاةَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ وَأَحْمَدَ و قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَرَأَوْا صَلَاةَ التَّطَوُّعِ بِالنَّهَارِ أَرْبَعًا مِثْلَ الْأَرْبَعِ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَغَيْرِهَا مِنْ صَلَاةِ التَّطَوُّعِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ وَإِسْحَقَ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Basysyar], narrated to us [Abdurrahman bin Mahdi], narrated to us [Syu'bah] from [Ya'la bin 'Atha'] from [Ali Al Azdi] from [Ibnu Umar] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: " Voluntary prayer at night and day is performed two rak'ahs - two rak'ahs." Abu 'Isa said, The companions of Syu'bah differ regarding the hadith of Ibnu Umar, some of them marfu' it and some mauquf it. Narrated from [Abdullah Al Umary] from [Nafi'] from [Ibnu Umar] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, like the wording above. The most sahih narration is from Ibnu Umar that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Voluntary prayer at night is performed two rak'ahs-two rak'ahs." And the trustworthy narrators narrate this hadith from Ibnu Umar from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, without mentioning Nahar prayer (during the day). And narrated from Ubaidullah from Nafi' from Ibnu Umar that he performed voluntary prayer at night two rak'ahs-two rak'ahs and during the day four rak'ahs-four rak'ahs. Therefore the people of knowledge differ in this matter, Imam Syafi'i and Ahmad hold that voluntary prayer at night or day is two rak'ahs-two rak'ahs, while Imam Sufyan Ats Tsauri, Ibnu Al Mubarak and Ishaq hold that voluntary prayer at night two rak'ahs-two rak'ahs and during the day four rak'ahs-four rak'ahs like the four rak'ahs voluntary before Dhuhr or other voluntary prayers.
