حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا سَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَعْتَدِلْ وَلَا يَفْتَرِشْ ذِرَاعَيْهِ افْتِرَاشَ الْكَلْبِقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِبْلٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَالْبَرَاءِ وَأَبِي حُمَيْدٍ وَعَائِشَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَخْتَارُونَ الِاعْتِدَالَ فِي السُّجُودِ وَيَكْرَهُونَ الِافْتِرَاشَ كَافْتِرَاشِ السَّبُعِ

Narrated to us [Hannad], he said: narrated to us [Abu Mu'awiyah] from [Al A'masy] from [Abu Sufyan] from [Jabir] that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When one of you prostrates, be balanced, and do not spread his forearms like a dog spreads." He said: "In this chapter there are also hadiths from Abdurrahman bin Syibl, Anas, Al Barra`, Abu Humaid, and 'Aisyah." Abu Isa said: "The hadith of Jabir is hasan sahih. This hadith is acted upon by scholars, they choose balance when prostrating and dislike spreading like wild animals."
