Narrated to us [Hunnad bin As Sari] from [Abul Ahwas] from [Sa'id bin Masruq] from [Salamah bin Kuhail] from [Abu Risydin Karib] from [Ibn 'Abbas] he said : "I once stayed at my aunt Maimunah bint Al Harith's house, and Rasulullah Sallallahu'alaihiwasallam also spent the night there. I saw him get up to do something, then take a qirbah (leather bag for water) then untie the strap that fastened the lid, then he did a simple ablution. After that Rasulullah Shallallahu'alaihiwasallam went to bed and fell asleep, then woke up again. Then he took the qirbah again and untied the strap, At the end, he performed ablution with a simple ablution, then stood up to pray. When he prostrated, he prayed: 'O Allah, give light to my heart and my mouth, my hearing and my sight. Give light from below me, above me, to my right, to my left, to my front, to my back, and to my soul, and glorify that light to me, then he slept until he heard his sleeping breath, then Bilal came to him and woke him up to pray'."
