حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّازِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ فَقَالَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْهَا وَسُئِلَ عَنْ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ فَقَالَ لَا تَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْهَاقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ وَأُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَقَدْ رَوَى الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ وَالصَّحِيحُ حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَرَوَى عُبَيْدَةُ الضَّبِّيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّازِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ ذِي الْغُرَّةِ الْجُهَنِيِّ وَرَوَى حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ فَأَخْطَأَ فِيهِ وَقَالَ فِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ وَالصَّحِيحُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّازِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ إِسْحَقُ صَحَّ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ حَدِيثَانِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثُ الْبَرَاءِ وَحَدِيثُ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ التَّابِعِينَ وَغَيْرِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَرَوْا الْوُضُوءَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ

Narrated to us [Hannad], he said: narrated to us [Abu Mu‘awiyah] from [Al-A‘mash] from [‘Abdullah bin ‘Abdullah Ar-Razi] from [‘Abdurrahman bin Abi Layla] from [Al-Barra’ bin ‘Azib]: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s peace be upon him, was asked about wudu after eating camel meat: he replied: "Perform wudu." He was asked about goat meat: he replied: "Do not perform wudu." In this chapter there are narrations from Jabir bin Samurah and Usayd bin Hudayr. Abu Isa said: "Al-Hajjaj bin Arta’ah narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abdullah from ‘Abdurrahman bin Abi Layla from Usayd bin Hudayr, but the correct version is from Al-Barra’ bin ‘Azib. This is the view of Ahmad and Ishaq. ‘Ubaydah Ad-Dabbi narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abdullah Ar-Razi from ‘Abdurrahman bin Abi Layla from Dhul-Ghurrah Al-Juhani. Hammad bin Salamah narrated from Al-Hajjaj bin Arta’ah but erred: ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abdurrahman bin Abi Layla from his father from Usayd bin Hudayr.’ The authentic chain is ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abdullah Ar-Razi from ‘Abdurrahman bin Abi Layla from Al-Barra’ bin ‘Azib. Ishaq said: ‘Two sahih hadiths in this chapter: Al-Barra’’s and Jabir bin Samurah’s.’ This is the view of Ahmad and Ishaq. Some Tabi‘in and others held no wudu is required after camel meat—this is Sufyan Ath-Thawri’s and the Kufans’ view."
