Read ILAHA ILLA ANTA SUBHANAKA INNI KUNTU MINAZHZHALIMIN
Imam Ahmad : 1383حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي وَالِدِي مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ مَرَرْتُ بِعُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَمَلَأَ عَيْنَيْهِ مِنِّي ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ السَّلَامَ فَأَتَيْتُ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ هَلْ حَدَثَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ شَيْءٌ مَرَّتَيْنِ قَالَ لَا وَمَا ذَاكَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَا إِلَّا أَنِّي مَرَرْتُ بِعُثْمَانَ آنِفًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَمَلَأَ عَيْنَيْهِ مِنِّي ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ السَّلَامَ قَالَ فَأَرْسَلَ عُمَرُ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ فَدَعَاهُ فَقَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ لَا تَكُونَ رَدَدْتَ عَلَى أَخِيكَ السَّلَامَ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ مَا فَعَلْتُ قَالَ سَعْدٌ قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ حَتَّى حَلَفَ وَحَلَفْتُ قَالَ ثُمَّ إِنَّ عُثْمَانَ ذَكَرَ فَقَالَ بَلَى وَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ إِنَّكَ مَرَرْتَ بِي آنِفًا وَأَنَا أُحَدِّثُ نَفْسِي بِكَلِمَةٍ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا ذَكَرْتُهَا قَطُّ إِلَّا تَغَشَّى بَصَرِي وَقَلْبِي غِشَاوَةٌ قَالَ قَالَ سَعْدٌ فَأَنَا أُنْبِئُكَ بِهَا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرَ لَنَا أَوَّلَ دَعْوَةٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَشَغَلَهُ حَتَّى قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاتَّبَعْتُهُ فَلَمَّا أَشْفَقْتُ أَنْ يَسْبِقَنِي إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ ضَرَبْتُ بِقَدَمِي الْأَرْضَ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَنْ هَذَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَمَهْ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَا وَاللَّهِ إِلَّا أَنَّكَ ذَكَرْتَ لَنَا أَوَّلَ دَعْوَةٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَ هَذَا الْأَعْرَابِيُّ فَشَغَلَكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ دَعْوَةُ ذِي النُّونِ إِذْ هُوَ فِي بَطْنِ الْحُوتِ { لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنْ الظَّالِمِينَ } فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَدْعُ بِهَا مُسْلِمٌ رَبَّهُ فِي شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا اسْتَجَابَ لَهُ
Narrated to us [Isma'il bin Umar] has told us [Yunus bin Ishaq Al Hamdani] he said : has told us [Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Sa'd] has told us [my father, Muhammad] from [his father, Sa'd] said : I passed Uthman bin 'Affan at a mosque then I said hello to him, his eyes looked at him but he didn't answer my greeting. So I met Umar bin Khaththab and asked him; "O Amirul Mukminin, what is happening in Islam?" (I said it twice). So Umar answered; "No, what's wrong?" I said : "It's nothing, but I passed Uthman at the mosque, then I said hello to him, his eyes looked at him but he didn't answer my greeting?" So Umar sent someone to Uthman and called him, (after Ustman was in front of him) Umar asked; "What prevents you from answering your brother's greetings?" Uthman answered; "I didn't." Sa'd said : I said : "Yes, (you did)." Finally he swore and I swore too. Then Uthman remembered and said : "Yes, I asked Allah for forgiveness and repented to Him, you passed in front of me earlier and at that time I was talking to myself about a sentence I heard from the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. No, by Allah I don't remember it at all because my eyesight and heart were closed." Sa'd said : "I will tell you that sentence, that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam once mentioned to us the first prayer, then a Bedouin came who made him busy so that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam left) and I followed him, when I felt that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam would go ahead of me and he had not yet entered his house, then I planted both soles of my feet on the ground so that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam turned to me and asked; "Who is that? Is it Abu Ishaq?" Sa'd answered; "That's right, O Messenger of Allah." Then he said : "Go!" I answered; "No, by Allah, because you were about to mention to us the first prayer, but you had a Bedouin come to busy you." He answered; "Yes, it was the prayer of Dzun Nun when he was in the stomach of a shark; LA ILAHA ILLA ANTA SUBHANAKA INNI KUNTU MINAZHZHALIMIN (There is no god worthy of worship except You. Glory be to You. Verily, I am one of those who commit wrongdoing.) "So in fact, a Muslim does not pray with this prayer in a matter unless it is certain that it will be granted.
