حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ النَّحْوِيِّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ{ فَإِنْ جَاءُوكَ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ }فَنُسِخَتْ قَالَ{ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ }

Narrated to us [Abdullah ibn Muhammad An-Nufaili], narrated to us [Muhammad ibn Salamah] from [Muhammad ibn Ishaq] from [Dawud ibn Al-Husain] from ['Ikrimah] from [Ibn Abbas], he said: When this verse was revealed: 'If they come to you, judge between them or turn away; if you turn away, they cannot harm you. If you judge, judge with justice' (Al-Ma'idah: 42), Ibn Abbas said: When Bani An-Nadhir killed someone from Bani Quraizhah, they paid half the blood money, but if Bani Quraizhah killed from Bani An-Nadhir, they paid full blood money. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) equalized the blood money between them.
