حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَنْبَسِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَدَبَّسِ عَنْ أَبِي مَرْزُوقٍ عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَوَكِّئًا عَلَى عَصًا فَقُمْنَا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَا تَقُومُوا كَمَا تَقُومُ الْأَعَاجِمُ يُعَظِّمُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا

Narrated to us [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah], he said: narrated to us [Abdullah bin Numair] from [Mis'ar] from [Abu Al Anbas] from [Abul Adabbas] from [Abu Marzuq] from [Abu Ghalib] from [Abu Umamah], he said: 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, approached us leaning on a staff, and we stood up for him. But he said: Do not stand as the non-Arabs stand to honor one another."'"'
