Imam Malik : 478
Yahya narrated to me from Malik, from Abu an-Nadr, a freed slave of Umar ibn Ubaidullah, that he heard Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah say: We were forbidden to mourn for a deceased person for more than three days, except for a husband, for whom it is four months and ten days. During that, we do not wear kohl, perfume, or colored clothing except for garments of 'asb (a type of Yemeni cloth). When one of us becomes pure, it is permissible to anoint ourselves with some oil as a means of cleansing.
