حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ قَدِمْتُ الشَّأْمَ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَا هُنَا قَالُوا أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ أَفِيكُمْ الَّذِي أَجَارَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ وَقَالَ الَّذِي أَجَارَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي عَمَّارًا قَالَ وَقَالَ اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ أَنَّ أَبَا الْأَسْوَدِ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تَتَحَدَّثُ فِي الْعَنَانِ وَالْعَنَانُ الْغَمَامُ بِالْأَمْرِ يَكُونُ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَتَسْمَعُ الشَّيَاطِينُ الْكَلِمَةَ فَتَقُرُّهَا فِي أُذُنِ الْكَاهِنِ كَمَا تُقَرُّ الْقَارُورَةُ فَيَزِيدُونَ مَعَهَا مِائَةَ كَذِبَةٍ

Narrated to us [Malik bin Isma'il], narrated to us [Isra'il] from [Al Mughirah] from [Ibrahim] from ['Alqamah], he said: I visited Sham and asked, "Who is here?" They said, "[Abu Ad-Darda', may Allah be pleased with him]." He said, "Is there among you the one whom Allah protected from Satan, as stated by His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him?" Narrated to us [Sulaiman bin Harb], narrated to us [Shu'bah] from [Mughirah], and he said, "The one whom Allah protected from Satan, as stated by His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, meaning 'Ammar." He said, and [Al Laith] said, narrated to me [Khaled bin Yazid] from [Sa'id bin Abi Hilal] that [Abu Al-Aswad] reported to him from ['Urwa] from ['Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her], from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, she said: "The angels discuss in the clouds—meaning the heavens—about matters that will occur on earth. The devils overhear a word and pour it into the ear of a soothsayer like a bottle is poured, then they add a hundred lies to it.
