حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْكُثُ أَبُو الدَّجَّالِ وَأُمُّهُ ثَلَاثِينَ عَامًا لَا يُولَدُ لَهُمَا وَلَدٌ ثُمَّ يُولَدُ لَهُمَا غُلَامٌ أَعْوَرُ أَضَرُّ شَيْءٍ وَأَقَلُّهُ مَنْفَعَةً تَنَامُ عَيْنَاهُ وَلَا يَنَامُ قَلْبُهُ ثُمَّ نَعَتَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبَوَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَبُوهُ طِوَالٌ ضَرْبُ اللَّحْمِ كَأَنَّ أَنْفَهُ مِنْقَارٌ وَأُمُّهُ فِرْضَاخِيَّةٌ طَوِيلَةُ الْيَدَيْنِ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ فَسَمِعْنَا بِمَوْلُودٍ فِي الْيَهُودِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَذَهَبْتُ أَنَا وَالزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ حَتَّى دَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَبَوَيْهِ فَإِذَا نَعْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيهِمَا فَقُلْنَا هَلْ لَكُمَا وَلَدٌ فَقَالَا مَكَثْنَا ثَلَاثِينَ عَامًا لَا يُولَدُ لَنَا وَلَدٌ ثُمَّ وُلِدَ لَنَا غُلَامٌ أَعْوَرُ أَضَرُّ شَيْءٍ وَأَقَلُّهُ مَنْفَعَةً تَنَامُ عَيْنَاهُ وَلَا يَنَامُ قَلْبُهُ قَالَ فَخَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِمَا فَإِذَا هُوَ مُنْجَدِلٌ فِي الشَّمْسِ فِي قَطِيفَةٍ لَهُ وَلَهُ هَمْهَمَةٌ فَتَكَشَّفَ عَنْ رَأْسِهِ فَقَالَ مَا قُلْتُمَا قُلْنَا وَهَلْ سَمِعْتَ مَا قُلْنَا قَالَ نَعَمْ تَنَامُ عَيْنَايَ وَلَا يَنَامُ قَلْبِيقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ

Narrated to us [Abdullah bin Mua'wiyah Al Jumhi] has narrated to us [Hammad bin Salamah] from ['Ali bin Zaid] from [Abdurrahman bin Abu Bakrah] from [his father] who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The father and mother of the Dajjal will live for thirty years, neither of them having any children, after which they will give birth to a child blind in one eye, he will be the most dangerous and of little benefit, his eyes will sleep but his heart will not." After that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned the characteristics of the Dajjal's parents, he said: "His father is tall, thin, his nose is like a beak and his mother is fat and has long arms." Abu Bakrah said: We heard that a baby was born among the Jews of Medina, then I went with Zubair bin Awwam until we entered the residence of his parents, it turned out that the characteristics mentioned by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were present in both of them, we asked: Do you have children? They both replied: We lived for thirty years but had no children, after that we had a child who was blind in one eye, he was harmful and of little benefit, his eyes were asleep but his heart was not. Abu Bakrah said: Then we came out of their residence and found him lying on the ground under the hot sun in a velvet cloth and he was talking but no one understood. Then he took off his head cover, he asked: What are you two saying? We said: Did you hear what we said? He said: Yes, my eyes were asleep but my heart was not. Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan gharib, we only know it from the hadith of Hammad bin Salamah.
