حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ أَنَّ عَوْنًا وَسَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ حَدَّثَاهُ أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا أَبَا بُرْدَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَمُوتُ رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ إِلَّا أَدْخَلَ اللَّهُ مَكَانَهُ النَّارَ يَهُودِيًّا أَوْ نَصْرَانِيًّا قَالَ فَاسْتَحْلَفَهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بِاللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَحَلَفَ لَهُ قَالَ فَلَمْ يُحَدِّثْنِي سَعِيدٌ أَنَّهُ اسْتَحْلَفَهُ وَلَمْ يُنْكِرْ عَلَى عَوْنٍ قَوْلَهُ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى جَمِيعًا عَنْ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ عَفَّانَ وَقَالَ عَوْنُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ

Narrated to us Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah narrated to us Affan bin Muslim narrated to us Hammam narrated to us Qatadah that Aun and Sa'id bin Abu Burdah narrated to Qatadah that they witnessed Abu Burdah narrate to Umar bin Abdul Aziz from his father from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: "No Muslim dies except that Allah will show a Jew or a Christian in his place in Hell." Qatadah said Then Umar bin Abdul Aziz asked Abu Burdah to swear by Allah, who has no deity but Him, three times, that he indeed heard his father narrate this Hadith from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Qatadah said Abu Burdah swore to him. Qatadah said But Sa'id did not narrate to me that Umar asked Abu Burdah to swear, but he also did not deny Aun’s statement. Narrated to us Ishaq bin Ibrahim and Muhammad bin Al Mutsanna, all from Abdush Shamad bin Abdul Warits, informed us Hammam narrated to us Qatadah with this chain, like the Hadith of Affan, and said Aun bin Utbah.
