حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا بُدَيْلٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ إِذَا خَرَجَتْ رُوحُ الْمُؤْمِنِ تَلَقَّاهَا مَلَكَانِ يُصْعِدَانِهَا قَالَ حَمَّادٌ فَذَكَرَ مِنْ طِيبِ رِيحِهَا وَذَكَرَ الْمِسْكَ قَالَ وَيَقُولُ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ رُوحٌ طَيِّبَةٌ جَاءَتْ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْأَرْضِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكِ وَعَلَى جَسَدٍ كُنْتِ تَعْمُرِينَهُ فَيُنْطَلَقُ بِهِ إِلَى رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ انْطَلِقُوا بِهِ إِلَى آخِرِ الْأَجَلِ قَالَ وَإِنَّ الْكَافِرَ إِذَا خَرَجَتْ رُوحُهُ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ وَذَكَرَ مِنْ نَتْنِهَا وَذَكَرَ لَعْنًا وَيَقُولُ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ رُوحٌ خَبِيثَةٌ جَاءَتْ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْأَرْضِ قَالَ فَيُقَالُ انْطَلِقُوا بِهِ إِلَى آخِرِ الْأَجَلِ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَرَدَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَيْطَةً كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ عَلَى أَنْفِهِ هَكَذَا
Narrated to me [Ubaidullah bin Umar Al Qawariri], narrated to us [Hammad bin Zaid], narrated to us [Budail], from [Abdullah bin Syaqiq], from [Abu Hurairah], who said: When the soul of a believer leaves his body, two angels meet him, taking him up, and Hammad said, mentioning his fragrant scent, saying: Like the scent of perfume, and the inhabitants of the heavens say: A good soul has come from the earth may Allah bless you and the body you inhabited. Then he is brought before his Lord, the Mighty and Exalted. Then it is said: Take him to the final destination (Sidratul Muntaha). And indeed, when the soul of an unbeliever leaves, Hammad said: He mentioned its foul smell and the curses directed at it, then the inhabitants of the heavens say: A bad soul has come from the earth. He said: Then it is said: Take him to the final destination (Sijjin). Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, placed a thin cloth over his nose like this.
