Imam Ahmad : 20574

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الطَّائِفِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمِقْدَامِ عَنْ ابْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْآخِرَ قَدْ زَنَى فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ثُمَّ ثَلَّثَ ثُمَّ رَبَّعَ فَنَزَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَرَّةً فَأَقَرَّ عِنْدَهُ بِالزِّنَا فَرَدَّدَهُ أَرْبَعًا ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَأَمَرَنَا فَحَفَرْنَا لَهُ حَفِيرَةً لَيْسَتْ بِالطَّوِيلَةِ فَرُجِمَ فَارْتَحَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَئِيبًا حَزِينًا فَسِرْنَا حَتَّى نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا فَسُرِّيَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لِي يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ غُفِرَ لَهُ وَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ

Narrated to us [Yazid] has informed us [Hajjaj bin Arthah] from [Abdul Malik bin Mughirah Ath Tha`ifi] from [Abdullah bin Miqdam] from [Ibnu Syaddad] from [Abu Dzar] he said, "Once we were with the Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him in a journey, then a man came to meet him and said, "The last person (in the group) has committed zina (adultery)." However he ignored it, that man then brought a third and fourth witness. Then the Prophet Peace be upon him descended, he asked once and the person who committed adultery then admitted it, and he repeated his answer up to four times. He then descended and ordered us to make a hole that was not too wide, then the adulterer was stoned. The Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him then continued the journey with a sad heart until arriving at home, then he obtained good news, he said to me: "O Abu Dzar, do you not see your companion that, he has been forgiven and entered into paradise.
