THE OBLIGATION TO PREVENT IMPOSSIBILITY TO AVOID GOD'S TORTURE

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ قَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّكُمْ تَقْرَءُونَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ مَنْ ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ } وَإِنَّا سَمِعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ إِذَا رَأَوْا الْمُنْكَرَ فَلَمْ يُنْكِرُوهُ أَوْشَكَ أَنْ يَعُمَّهُمْ اللَّهُ بِعِقَابِهِ
Narrated to us by [Abdullah bin Numair], he said: Informed to us by [Isma'il] from [Qais], he said: [Abu Bakr] stood up then praised Allah and glorified Him, then said: O people, indeed you read this verse: 'O you who believe, guard yourselves; the misguided will not harm you if you have received guidance.' (QS Al-Maidah verse 105). And indeed we heard The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him say: 'Indeed, if people see evil then do not deny it, Allah is about to inflict punishment on them all.'
GUIDANCE ON ABLUTION AND PRAYER AS A REDEMPTION FOR SINS

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ وَسُفْيَانُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الثَّقَفِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الْوَالِبِيِّ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الْفَزَارِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ إِذَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا نَفَعَنِي اللَّهُ بِمَا شَاءَ مِنْهُ وَإِذَا حَدَّثَنِي عَنْهُ غَيْرِي اسْتَحْلَفْتُهُ فَإِذَا حَلَفَ لِي صَدَّقْتُهُ وَإِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حَدَّثَنِي وَصَدَقَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يُذْنِبُ ذَنْبًا فَيَتَوَضَّأُ فَيُحْسِنُ الْوُضُوءَ قَالَ مِسْعَرٌ وَيُصَلِّي وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَيَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَّا غَفَرَ لَهُ
Narrated to us [Waki'], he said; Narrated to us [Mis'ar] and [Sufyan] from [Utsman Bin Al Mughirah Ats Tsaqafi] from [Ali Bin Rabi'ah Al Walibi] from [Asma' Bin Al Hakam Al Fazari] from [Ali], he said; If I hear a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him, then Allah benefits me from it as He wills. And if someone else narrates it to me, I ask him to swear, and if he swears to me, I believe him. Indeed, Abu Bakar narrated to me, and it is true that [Abu Bakar] heard the Prophet peace be upon him say: "No man commits a sin, then performs ablution and perfects his ablution," -Mis'ar said; -"then prays, while Sufyan said" then prays two rak'ahs and seeks forgiveness from Allah, except that Allah will forgive his sin.
THE STORY OF THE ESCAPE OF THE PROPHET AND ABU BAKAR DURING THE HIJRAH AND THE MIRACLE THAT OCCURRED

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ يَعْنِي الْعَنْقَزِيَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ اشْتَرَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ مِنْ عَازِبٍ سَرْجًا بِثَلَاثَةَ عَشَرَ دِرْهَمًا قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ لِعَازِبٍ مُرْ الْبَرَاءَ فَلْيَحْمِلْهُ إِلَى مَنْزِلِي فَقَالَ لَا حَتَّى تُحَدِّثَنَا كَيْفَ صَنَعْتَ حِينَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنْتَ مَعَهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ خَرَجْنَا فَأَدْلَجْنَا فَأَحْثَثْنَا يَوْمَنَا وَلَيْلَتَنَا حَتَّى أَظْهَرْنَا وَقَامَ قَائِمُ الظَّهِيرَةِ فَضَرَبْتُ بِبَصَرِي هَلْ أَرَى ظِلًّا نَأْوِي إِلَيْهِ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِصَخْرَةٍ فَأَهْوَيْتُ إِلَيْهَا فَإِذَا بَقِيَّةُ ظِلِّهَا فَسَوَّيْتُهُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفَرَشْتُ لَهُ فَرْوَةً وَقُلْتُ اضْطَجِعْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَاضْطَجَعَ ثُمَّ خَرَجْتُ أَنْظُرُ هَلْ أَرَى أَحَدًا مِنْ الطَّلَبِ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِرَاعِي غَنَمٍ فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ أَنْتَ يَا غُلَامُ فَقَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَسَمَّاهُ فَعَرَفْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ هَلْ فِي غَنَمِكَ مِنْ لَبَنٍ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ قُلْتُ هَلْ أَنْتَ حَالِبٌ لِي قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَأَمَرْتُهُ فَاعْتَقَلَ شَاةً مِنْهَا ثُمَّ أَمَرْتُهُ فَنَفَضَ ضَرْعَهَا مِنْ الْغُبَارِ ثُمَّ أَمَرْتُهُ فَنَفَضَ كَفَّيْهِ مِنْ الْغُبَارِ وَمَعِي إِدَاوَةٌ عَلَى فَمِهَا خِرْقَةٌ فَحَلَبَ لِي كُثْبَةً مِنْ اللَّبَنِ فَصَبَبْتُ يَعْنِي الْمَاءَ عَلَى الْقَدَحِ حَتَّى بَرَدَ أَسْفَلُهُ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَوَافَيْتُهُ وَقَدْ اسْتَيْقَظَ فَقُلْتُ اشْرَبْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَشَرِبَ حَتَّى رَضِيتُ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ هَلْ أَنَى الرَّحِيلُ قَالَ فَارْتَحَلْنَا وَالْقَوْمُ يَطْلُبُونَا فَلَمْ يُدْرِكْنَا أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا سُرَاقَةُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ عَلَى فَرَسٍ لَهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا الطَّلَبُ قَدْ لَحِقَنَا فَقَالَ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا حَتَّى إِذَا دَنَا مِنَّا فَكَانَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُ قَدْرُ رُمْحٍ أَوْ رُمْحَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا الطَّلَبُ قَدْ لَحِقَنَا وَبَكَيْتُ قَالَ لِمَ تَبْكِي قَالَ قُلْتُ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ مَا عَلَى نَفْسِي أَبْكِي وَلَكِنْ أَبْكِي عَلَيْكَ قَالَ فَدَعَا عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنَاهُ بِمَا شِئْتَ فَسَاخَتْ قَوَائِمُ فَرَسِهِ إِلَى بَطْنِهَا فِي أَرْضٍ صَلْدٍ وَوَثَبَ عَنْهَا وَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ هَذَا عَمَلُكَ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُنْجِيَنِي مِمَّا أَنَا فِيهِ فَوَاللَّهِ لَأُعَمِّيَنَّ عَلَى مَنْ وَرَائِي مِنْ الطَّلَبِ وَهَذِهِ كِنَانَتِي فَخُذْ مِنْهَا سَهْمًا فَإِنَّكَ سَتَمُرُّ بِإِبِلِي وَغَنَمِي فِي مَوْضِعِ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَخُذْ مِنْهَا حَاجَتَكَ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا حَاجَةَ لِي فِيهَا قَالَ وَدَعَا لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأُطْلِقَ فَرَجَعَ إِلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَمَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ حَتَّى قَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ فَتَلَقَّاهُ النَّاسُ فَخَرَجُوا فِي الطَّرِيقِ وَعَلَى الْأَجَاجِيرِ فَاشْتَدَّ الْخَدَمُ وَالصِّبْيَانُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ يَقُولُونَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَ مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ وَتَنَازَعَ الْقَوْمُ أَيُّهُمْ يَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْزِلُ اللَّيْلَةَ عَلَى بَنِي النَّجَّارِ أَخْوَالِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ لِأُكْرِمَهُمْ بِذَلِكَ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ غَدَا حَيْثُ أُمِرَ قَالَ الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ عَازِبٍ أَوَّلُ مَنْ كَانَ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ أَخُو بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ ثُمَّ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ الْأَعْمَى أَخُو بَنِي فِهْرٍ ثُمَّ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فِي عِشْرِينَ رَاكِبًا فَقُلْنَا مَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ هُوَ عَلَى أَثَرِي ثُمَّ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ مَعَهُ قَالَ الْبَرَاءُ وَلَمْ يَقْدَمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى حَفِظْتُ سُوَرًا مِنْ الْمُفَصَّلِ قَالَ إِسْرَائِيلُ وَكَانَ الْبَرَاءُ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْ بَنِي حَارِثَةَ
Narrated to us ['Amru Bin Muhammad Abu Sa'id namely Al 'Anqazi], he said; Narrated to us [Israil] from [Abu Ishaq] from [Al Barra' Bin 'Azib], he said; Abu Bakar bought a saddle from 'Azib for thirteen dirhams, Al Barra' said; then Abu Bakar said to Azib; Order Al Barra' to carry it to my house." Then 'Azib answered; "No, unless you tell us what you did when the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him went out with you." He said; then [Abu Bakar] said; "We went out walking at night and hastened our journey during the day and night we passed, when we arrived at noon and the sun was directly above, I observed around us if there was a place to shade us, shortly after I saw a large rock and I approached it and it turned out there was a small cavity (protruding inward) covered by the shadow of the rock, then I prepared the place and spread a leather cloak for the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him, then I said; "Lie down, O Messenger of Allah" then he lay down, then I went out to look around if anyone was searching, suddenly I saw a goat herder, I asked; "Who do you belong to, O young man?" He answered; "Belonging to a man from Quraysh," then he mentioned his name and I knew him, I asked again; "Do your goats produce milk?" He answered; "Yes" I asked again; "Will you milk for me?" He answered; "Yes" then I ordered him to hold one of his goats and clean the goat's udder and both his palms from dust, I brought a leather water container with a cloth cover at its mouth, then he milked a little milk for me and I poured water into the container so that the bottom wasn't too hot, then I came to the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him to give him a drink, and it turned out he was already awake from his sleep, I said; "O Messenger of Allah, drink" Then he drank until I felt relieved, then I said; "Is it time for us to depart?" Then we departed while people were searching and no one from them could find us except Suraqah Bin Malik Bin Ju'syum on horseback, I said; "O Messenger of Allah, the one hunting (us) will catch up to us" Then the Prophet answered: "Do not grieve, indeed Allah is with us" until when Suraqah was close to us about the distance of one spear or two spears or three spears I said; "O Messenger of Allah, the one hunting (us) will catch up to us" and I (at that time) cried, the Prophet asked: "Why are you crying?" I answered; "By Allah, I am not crying because I fear for myself but I cry because I fear for you" then the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him prayed: "We surrender him (Suraqah) to Your will" then the legs up to the belly of Suraqah's horse slipped into the hard ground and he jumped from it and said; "O Muhammad, I know this is your doing, so pray to Allah to save me from what has befallen me, by Allah I will keep your news secret from the people searching behind me, and this is my leather arrow quiver, take some of its arrows, indeed you will pass my camels and goats in this place and that, so take from them for your needs." Abu Bakar continued, then the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him answered; "I do not need it" then the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him prayed for him so Suraqah was released (from the disaster that befell him) and returned to his companions, the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him continued his journey with me, when we arrived in Madinah, people welcomed and went out to the streets and on the rooftops, the servants and children came out hurrying while saying; "Allah is the Greatest, the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him has come, Muhammad has come." People disagreed, who among them has the right to have his house occupied by him, then the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said: "Tonight I will stay at the house of Bani Najjar, the uncle of Abdul Muthalib to honor them," then in the morning he departed as ordered. Barra' Bin Azib said; "The first Muhajirin who came to us was Mush'ab Bin Umair, brother of Bani Abdud Dar, then Ibnu Ummi Maktum the blind, brother of Bani Fihri, then Umar Bin Al Khaththab with twenty riders, then we asked; "What did the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him do?" He answered; "He is behind me", then the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him arrived with Abu Bakar, Barra' said; "The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him did not arrive (in Madinah) except at that time I had memorized several surahs from Al Mufassal." Israil said; "Barra' was a companion of Ansar from Bani Haritsah."
PROHIBITION FOR MUSYRIK TO PERFORM HAJJ AFTER A CERTAIN YEAR

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ قَالَ إِسْرَائِيلُ قَالَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ يُثَيْعٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ بِبَرَاءَةٌ لِأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ لَا يَحُجُّ بَعْدَ الْعَامِ مُشْرِكٌ وَلَا يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرْيَانٌ وَلَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا نَفْسٌ مُسْلِمَةٌ مَنْ كَانَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُدَّةٌ فَأَجَلُهُ إِلَى مُدَّتِهِ وَاللَّهُ بَرِيءٌ مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَرَسُولُهُ قَالَ فَسَارَ بِهَا ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ قَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ الْحَقْهُ فَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَبَلِّغْهَا أَنْتَ قَالَ فَفَعَلَ قَالَ فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بَكَى قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ حَدَثَ فِيَّ شَيْءٌ قَالَ مَا حَدَثَ فِيكَ إِلَّا خَيْرٌ وَلَكِنْ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ لَا يُبَلِّغَهُ إِلَّا أَنَا أَوْ رَجُلٌ مِنِّي
Narrated to us [Waki'], he said; Narrated [Israil]; Narrated [Abu Ishaq]; from [Zaid Bin Yutsai'] from [Abu Bakar] that the Prophet peace be upon him sent him with the declaration of disassociation to the people of Makkah: "so that no polytheist performs Hajj after this year, no one performs tawaf naked, and none will enter Paradise except a Muslim, whoever has a covenant between him and the Messenger of Allah then its term is until the end of that covenant, and Allah and His Messenger are free from the polytheists." Yazid said; then he departed with three people. Then He said to Ali; "Follow him and return Abu Bakar to me and convey that declaration by you." Then he did so, he said; when Abu Bakar came to the Prophet peace be upon him, he cried and asked; "O Messenger of Allah, has something happened to me?" He answered; "Nothing has happened to you except good, but I was commanded that the matter is not conveyed except by me or one from me.
ABU BAKAR RECOMMENDS BEGGING FOR FORGIVENESS AND SAFETY

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَوْسَطَ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَقَامِي هَذَا عَامَ الْأَوَّلِ وَبَكَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ سَلُوا اللَّهَ الْمُعَافَاةَ أَوْ قَالَ الْعَافِيَةَ فَلَمْ يُؤْتَ أَحَدٌ قَطُّ بَعْدَ الْيَقِينِ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ الْعَافِيَةِ أَوْ الْمُعَافَاةِ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالصِّدْقِ فَإِنَّهُ مَعَ الْبِرِّ وَهُمَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْكَذِبَ فَإِنَّهُ مَعَ الْفُجُورِ وَهُمَا فِي النَّارِ وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا وَلَا تَقَاطَعُوا وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا وَكُونُوا إِخْوَانًا كَمَا أَمَرَكُمْ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى
Narrated to us [Muhammad Bin Ja'far], he said; Narrated to us [Syu'bah] from [Yazid Bin Khumair] from [Sulaim Bin 'Amir] from [Ausath], he said; [Abu Bakar] preached to us and said; The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him stood in my place this in the first year. Then Abu Bakar cried, then said; Ask Allah for Al-Mu'Aafaat (pardon) or he said Al-'Aafiyah (well-being), because no one is given something more superior than Al-'Aafiyah or Al-Mu'Aafaat after certainty, be truthful because truthfulness is with righteousness and both are in Paradise, and avoid lying because lying is with wickedness and both are in Hell, and do not envy each other, do not hate, and do not sever ties of kinship and do not turn away from each other, but be brothers as Allah Almighty commanded.
ABU BAKAR PREACHED ABOUT ASKING FOR SALVATION FROM GOD

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ وَأَبُو عَامِرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فَبَكَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ حِينَ ذَكَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي هَذَا الْقَيْظِ عَامَ الْأَوَّلِ سَلُوا اللَّهَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ وَالْيَقِينَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَى
Narrated to us [Abdurrahman Bin Mahdi] and [Abu 'Amir] both said; Narrated to us [Zuhair namely Ibn Muhammad] from [Abdullah namely Ibn Muhammad Bin 'Aqil] from [Mu'adz Bin Rifa'ah Bin Rafi' Al Anshari] from his father namely [Rifa'ah Bin Rafi'], he said; I heard [Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq] preaching on the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him, then said; "I heard the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him say," and Abu Bakar cried when mentioning the name of the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him, then he paused from his crying and said; "I heard the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him say on a very hot day like this in the first year: "Ask Allah for pardon, well-being, and certainty in the Hereafter and the world.
SIWAK AS A MOUTH CLEANSER THAT GOD APPROVES

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ السِّوَاكُ مَطْهَرَةٌ لِلْفَمِ مَرْضَاةٌ لِلرَّبِّ
Narrated to us [Abu Kamil], he said; Narrated to us [Hammad namely Ibn Salamah] from [Ibnu Abu 'Atiq] from [his father] from [Abu Bakar], that the Prophet peace be upon him said: "The toothstick is a purification for the mouth and pleasing to the Allah.
PRAYER FOR FORGIVENESS READ BY ABU BAKAR DURING PRAYER

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلِّمْنِي دُعَاءً أَدْعُو بِهِ فِي صَلَاتِي قَالَ قُلْ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ و قَالَ يُونُسُ كَبِيرًا حَدَّثَنَاه حَسَنٌ الْأَشْيَبُ عَنْ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ قَالَ كَبِيرًا
Narrated to us [Hasyim Bin Al Qasim], he said; Narrated to us [Al Laits], he said; Narrated to me [Yazid Bin Abu Habib] from [Abul Khair] from [Abdullah Bin 'Amru] from [Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq] that he said to the Messenger of Allah; Teach me a supplication with which I supplicate in my prayer," He answered: "Say, Allahumma Innii Zhalamtu Nafsii Zhulman Katsiiro, Walaa Yaghfirudz Dzunuuba Illaa Anta, Faghfirlii maghfiratan Min 'Indika Warhamnii Innaka Antal Ghofuurur Rahiim (O Allah, I have wronged myself greatly, and none forgives sins except You, so forgive me a forgiveness from You and have mercy on me, indeed You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful)." [Yunus] said; "kabiran (great)," Narrated to us [Hasan Al Asy yab] from [Ibnu Lahi'ah], he said; He said: "kabiran (great)."
FATIMAH AND AL ABBAS DEMAND THE INHERITANCE OF THE RASULULLAH SHALALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ وَالْعَبَّاسَ أَتَيَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَلْتَمِسَانِ مِيرَاثَهُمَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُمَا حِينَئِذٍ يَطْلُبَانِ أَرْضَهُ مِنْ فَدَكَ وَسَهْمَهُ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَا صَدَقَةٌ إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي هَذَا الْمَالِ وَإِنِّي وَاللَّهِ لَا أَدَعُ أَمْرًا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُهُ فِيهِ إِلَّا صَنَعْتُهُ
Narrated to us [Abdurrazzaq], he said; Narrated to us [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from ['Urwah] from [Aisyah], that Fatimah and Al Abbas came to Abu Bakar, both demanding their share of inheritance from the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him, at that time both asked for his land in Fadak and his share from Khaibar, then [Abu Bakar] said to them; Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "We are not inherited, the property we leave is charity, the family of Muhammad only eats from this property." Then by Allah, I will not leave a matter that I saw the Messenger of Allah doing it except I will surely do it.
THE IMPORTANCE OF ASKING GOD FOR SAFETY
Imam Ahmad : 10
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ مِنْ عَامِ الْأَوَّلِ ثُمَّ اسْتَعْبَرَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَبَكَى ثُمَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَمْ تُؤْتَوْا شَيْئًا بَعْدَ كَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ مِثْلَ الْعَافِيَةِ فَاسْأَلُوا اللَّهَ الْعَافِيَةَ
Narrated to us [Abu Abdurrahman Al Muqri'], he said; Narrated to us [Haiwah Bin Syuraih], he said; I heard [Abdul Malik Bin Al Harits] say; Indeed [Abu Hurairah] said; I heard [Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq] say on this pulpit; I heard the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him say on this day in the first year, then Abu Bakar was carried away in advice until he cried, then said; I heard the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him say: "You are not given something (of higher status) after the word of sincerity like Al-Afiyah (well-being), so ask Allah for Al-Afiyah.
God is always with the prophet
Imam Ahmad : 11
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي الْغَارِ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً وَنَحْنُ فِي الْغَارِ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ نَظَرَ إِلَى قَدَمَيْهِ لَأَبْصَرَنَا تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ مَا ظَنُّكَ بِاثْنَيْنِ اللَّهُ ثَالِثُهُمَا
Narrated to us ['Affan], he said; Narrated to us [Hammam], he said; Narrated to us [Tsabit] from [Anas] that [Abu Bakar] narrated to him, he (Abu Bakar) said; I said to the Prophet peace be upon him when in the cave, -in another narration he said; "and we were in the cave, - and if one of them looked at his feet, surely they would see us from under his feet", then He said: "O Abu Bakar, what do you think of two people, is not Allah the third of them.
THE STORY OF THE DAJJAL OUT OF KHURASAN AND HIS FOLLOWERS

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سُبَيْعٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ الدَّجَّالَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَرْضٍ بِالْمَشْرِقِ يُقَالُ لَهَا خُرَاسَانُ يَتَّبِعُهُ أَقْوَامٌ كَأَنَّ وُجُوهَهُمْ الْمَجَانُّ الْمُطْرَقَةُ
Narrated to us [Rauh], he said; Narrated to us [Ibnu Abi 'Arubah] from [Abu At Taiyyah] from [Al Mughirah Bin Subai'] from ['Amru Bin Huraits] from [Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq], he said; The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him narrated to us that the Dajjal will emerge from the eastern land called Khurasan, many people follow him, as if their faces are like hammered shields.
THE FIRST PEOPLE TO ENTER HEAVEN

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى صَاحِبُ الدَّقِيقِ عَنْ فَرْقَدٍ عَنْ مُرَّةَ بْنِ شَرَاحِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ بَخِيلٌ وَلَا خَبٌّ وَلَا خَائِنٌ وَلَا سَيِّئُ الْمَلَكَةِ وَأَوَّلُ مَنْ يَقْرَعُ بَابَ الْجَنَّةِ الْمَمْلُوكُونَ إِذَا أَحْسَنُوا فِيمَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَفِيمَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ مَوَالِيهِمْ
Narrated to us [Abu Sa'id] the freed slave of Bani Hasyim, he said; Narrated to us [Shadaqah Bin Musa] the companion of Ad Daqiq, from [Farqad] from [Murrah Bin Syarahil] from [Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq], he said; The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said: "The stingy, the deceiver, the coward will not enter Paradise, nor the one with harsh manners, and the first to knock on the gate of Paradise are the slaves who are good in carrying out what is between them and Allah Almighty and what is between them and their master.
FATIMAH ASKED ABOUT THE LEGACY OF THE RASULULLAH SHALALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ جُمَيْعٍ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ لَمَّا قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْسَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنْتَ وَرِثْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْ أَهْلُهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَا بَلْ أَهْلُهُ قَالَتْ فَأَيْنَ سَهْمُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِذَا أَطْعَمَ نَبِيًّا طُعْمَةً ثُمَّ قَبَضَهُ جَعَلَهُ لِلَّذِي يَقُومُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ فَرَأَيْتُ أَنْ أَرُدَّهُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَقَالَتْ فَأَنْتَ وَمَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْلَمُ
Narrated to us [Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Syaibah]. Abdullah said; and I have heard it from Abdullah Bin Abu Syaibah, he said; Narrated to us [Muhammad Bin Fudlail] from [Al Walid Bin Jumai'] from [Abu Ath Thufail], he said; When the Messenger of Allah passed away, Fatimah wrote a letter to Abu Bakar containing; Is it you or his family who inherits the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him?" He answered; "I do not inherit him, but his family inherits him," Fatimah said; "Then where is the share of the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him?" Then [Abu Bakar] said; "Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah say; "Indeed, when Allah feeds a Prophet, then causes him to die, then He (Allah) makes it for the one who comes after him", then I intend to return it to the Muslims." Then Fatimah said; "If so, you know better about what you heard from the Messenger of Allah."

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الطَّالَقَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ الْمَازِنِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو نَعَامَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُنَيْدَةَ الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ وَالَانَ الْعَدَوِيِّ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَصَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ مِنْ الضُّحَى ضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ مَكَانَهُ حَتَّى صَلَّى الْأُولَى وَالْعَصْرَ وَالْمَغْرِبَ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ لَا يَتَكَلَّمُ حَتَّى صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ أَلَا تَسْأَلُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا شَأْنُهُ صَنَعَ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَصْنَعْهُ قَطُّ قَالَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ عُرِضَ عَلَيَّ مَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ مِنْ أَمْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَأَمْرِ الْآخِرَةِ فَجُمِعَ الْأَوَّلُونَ وَالْآخِرُونَ بِصَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ فَفَظِعَ النَّاسُ بِذَلِكَ حَتَّى انْطَلَقُوا إِلَى آدَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام وَالْعَرَقُ يَكَادُ يُلْجِمُهُمْ فَقَالُوا يَا آدَمُ أَنْتَ أَبُو الْبَشَرِ وَأَنْتَ اصْطَفَاكَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ قَالَ لَقَدْ لَقِيتُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي لَقِيتُمْ انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى أَبِيكُمْ بَعْدَ أَبِيكُمْ إِلَى نُوحٍ { إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَى آدَمَ وَنُوحًا وَآلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلَ عِمْرَانَ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ } قَالَ فَيَنْطَلِقُونَ إِلَى نُوحٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَيَقُولُونَ اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَأَنْتَ اصْطَفَاكَ اللَّهُ وَاسْتَجَابَ لَكَ فِي دُعَائِكَ وَلَمْ يَدَعْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنْ الْكَافِرِينَ دَيَّارًا فَيَقُولُ لَيْسَ ذَاكُمْ عِنْدِي انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اتَّخَذَهُ خَلِيلًا فَيَنْطَلِقُونَ إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَيَقُولُ لَيْسَ ذَاكُمْ عِنْدِي وَلَكِنْ انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَلَّمَهُ تَكْلِيمًا فَيَقُولُ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام لَيْسَ ذَاكُمْ عِنْدِي وَلَكِنْ انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ فَإِنَّهُ يُبْرِئُ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ وَيُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى فَيَقُولُ عِيسَى لَيْسَ ذَاكُمْ عِنْدِي وَلَكِنْ انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى سَيِّدِ وَلَدِ آدَمَ فَإِنَّهُ أَوَّلُ مَنْ تَنْشَقُّ عَنْهُ الْأَرْضُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَشْفَعَ لَكُمْ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ فَيَنْطَلِقُ فَيَأْتِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام رَبَّهُ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ائْذَنْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ قَالَ فَيَنْطَلِقُ بِهِ جِبْرِيلُ فَيَخِرُّ سَاجِدًا قَدْرَ جُمُعَةٍ وَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ وَقُلْ يُسْمَعْ وَاشْفَعْ تُشَفَّعْ قَالَ فَيَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ فَإِذَا نَظَرَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَرَّ سَاجِدًا قَدْرَ جُمُعَةٍ أُخْرَى فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ وَقُلْ يُسْمَعْ وَاشْفَعْ تُشَفَّعْ قَالَ فَيَذْهَبُ لِيَقَعَ سَاجِدًا فَيَأْخُذُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام بِضَبْعَيْهِ فَيَفْتَحُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ الدُّعَاءِ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَفْتَحْهُ عَلَى بَشَرٍ قَطُّ فَيَقُولُ أَيْ رَبِّ خَلَقْتَنِي سَيِّدَ وَلَدِ آدَمَ وَلَا فَخْرَ وَأَوَّلَ مَنْ تَنْشَقُّ عَنْهُ الْأَرْضُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا فَخْرَ حَتَّى إِنَّهُ لَيَرِدُ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا بَيْنَ صَنْعَاءَ وَأَيْلَةَ ثُمَّ يُقَالُ ادْعُوا الصِّدِّيقِينَ فَيَشْفَعُونَ ثُمَّ يُقَالُ ادْعُوا الْأَنْبِيَاءَ قَالَ فَيَجِيءُ النَّبِيُّ وَمَعَهُ الْعِصَابَةُ وَالنَّبِيُّ وَمَعَهُ الْخَمْسَةُ وَالسِّتَّةُ وَالنَّبِيُّ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ ثُمَّ يُقَالُ ادْعُوا الشُّهَدَاءَ فَيَشْفَعُونَ لِمَنْ أَرَادُوا وَقَالَ فَإِذَا فَعَلَتْ الشُّهَدَاءُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنَا أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ أَدْخِلُوا جَنَّتِي مَنْ كَانَ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِي شَيْئًا قَالَ فَيَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ انْظُرُوا فِي النَّارِ هَلْ تَلْقَوْنَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ عَمِلَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ قَالَ فَيَجِدُونَ فِي النَّارِ رَجُلًا فَيَقُولُ لَهُ هَلْ عَمِلْتَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ فَيَقُولُ لَا غَيْرَ أَنِّي كُنْتُ أُسَامِحُ النَّاسَ فِي الْبَيْعِ وَالشِّرَاءِ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَسْمِحُوا لِعَبْدِي كَإِسْمَاحِهِ إِلَى عَبِيدِي ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُونَ مِنْ النَّارِ رَجُلًا فَيَقُولُ لَهُ هَلْ عَمِلْتَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ فَيَقُولُ لَا غَيْرَ أَنِّي قَدْ أَمَرْتُ وَلَدِي إِذَا مِتُّ فَأَحْرِقُونِي بِالنَّارِ ثُمَّ اطْحَنُونِي حَتَّى إِذَا كُنْتُ مِثْلَ الْكُحْلِ فَاذْهَبُوا بِي إِلَى الْبَحْرِ فَاذْرُونِي فِي الرِّيحِ فَوَاللَّهِ لَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَيَّ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ أَبَدًا فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ مِنْ مَخَافَتِكَ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ انْظُرْ إِلَى مُلْكِ أَعْظَمِ مَلِكٍ فَإِنَّ لَكَ مِثْلَهُ وَعَشَرَةَ أَمْثَالِهِ قَالَ فَيَقُولُ لِمَ تَسْخَرُ بِي وَأَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ قَالَ وَذَاكَ الَّذِي ضَحِكْتُ مِنْهُ مِنْ الضُّحَى
Narrated to us [Ibrahim Bin Ishaq Ath Thalaqani], he said; Narrated to me [An Nadlar Bin Syumail Al Mazini], he said; Narrated to me [Abu Na'amah], he said; Narrated to me [Abu Hunaidah Al Barra' Bin Naufal] from [Walan Al 'Adawi] from [Hudzaifah] from [Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq], he said; One morning the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him prayed Subuh then remained seated, until when Duha time came the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him laughed. He remained seated in his place until he prayed Zuhr, Asr and Maghrib. He did not speak until Isha prayer at the end of the night, then went home to his family. People said to Abu Bakar; 'Why don't you ask the Messenger of Allah about what he did today, whereas before he never did it at all?' So he asked him, and he answered: 'Yes, I have been shown what will happen from the affairs of the world and the hereafter. The former and the latter people are gathered in one place, and people are so afraid that sweat almost covers them. They come to Adam and say; "O Adam, you are the father of mankind and Allah 'the Mighty and Majestic has chosen you, so give us intercession before your Lord." Adam answers; "I am facing what you are facing, go to your father after your father, namely Noah." Indeed Allah has chosen Adam, Noah, the family of Ibrahim and the family of 'Imran over all nations.' Then they come to Noah and say; 'Give us intercession before your Lord, because Allah has chosen you and granted your prayer.' Noah says; 'I cannot give you intercession, go to Ibrahim because indeed Allah made him His beloved.' Then they go to Ibrahim, and Ibrahim says; 'I cannot give you intercession, go to Musa, because Allah spoke to him directly.' Then Musa answers; 'I do not have what you ask, so go to Isa son of Maryam.' Isa answers; 'I do not have what you ask, but go to the leader of the children of Adam, because his grave is the first to open on the Day of Resurrection, go to Muhammad peace be upon him surely he will give you intercession before your Lord.' Then Jibril goes to his Lord, and Allah says: "Permit him to give intercession and give him glad tidings of Paradise." Jibril goes with that glad tiding, then Muhammad prostrates for a long period, then Allah says: "Raise your head O Muhammad, speak you will be heard and give intercession, you are permitted to do so." He raises his head and when he looks at his Lord he prostrates again for a long period, and Allah says again: "Raise your head and speak you will be heard, give intercession, you are permitted to do so." He goes to prostrate, and Jibril holds his hands, then Allah opens supplications that have never been opened before to any human at all. Then he says; "O my Lord You have created me as the leader of the children of Adam and there is no arrogance. You make me the first whose grave opens on the Day of Resurrection and there is no arrogance." Then it is said; "Call the truthful ones so they give intercession," then it is said; "Call the Prophets." A Prophet comes with a group of his followers, and a Prophet with no followers. Then it is said; "Call the martyrs so they give intercession for whom they wish." When the martyrs have done it, Allah says: "I am the Most Merciful of the merciful, enter into My Paradise those who do not associate Me with anything." Then they enter Paradise. Then Allah says: "Look into Hell, do you find someone who ever did one good deed?" They find a man, then Allah asks him: "Have you ever done one good deed?" The man answers; "No, except I used to grant ease to people in buying and selling." Then Allah says: "Grant ease to My servant as he has given ease to My other servants." Then they take out another man from Hell, and Allah asks him; "Have you ever done one good deed?" He answers; "No, except I once ordered my son if I die, burn me and grind me like flour, then scatter me in the sea and the air, believing that Allah the Lord of all worlds would not be able to return me forever." Allah says: "Why did you do that?" He answers; "Because of fear of You." Allah says: "Look at the kingdom of the greatest king, for you is like that and ten times more." The servant said; "Why do You mock me while You are the King?" The Prophet peace be upon him said: "That is what made me laugh at Duha time."
THE OBLIGATION TO PREVENT IMPOSITION IN ORDER TO AVOID ALLAH'S TORTS

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسٌ قَالَ قَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّكُمْ تَقْرَءُونَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ مَنْ ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ } إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ وَإِنَّكُمْ تَضَعُونَهَا عَلَى غَيْرِ مَوْضِعِهَا وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ إِذَا رَأَوْا الْمُنْكَرَ وَلَا يُغَيِّرُوهُ أَوْشَكَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَعُمَّهُمْ بِعِقَابِهِ قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْكَذِبَ فَإِنَّ الْكَذِبَ مُجَانِبٌ لِلْإِيمَانِ
Narrated to us [Hasyim Bin Al Qasim] he said; Narrated to us [Zuhair namely Ibn Mu'awiyah] he said; Narrated to us [Isma'il Bin Abu Khalid] he said; Narrated to us [Qais], he said; " [Abu Bakr] stood up and praised Allah and purified Him, then he said: "O people, indeed you read this verse: "O believers, you are responsible for each of yourselves, it will not harm you even the slightest person who goes astray... (until the end of the verse), and you put it out of place, I heard the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "Indeed, if people see evil, then do not change it, then it is feared that Allah will extend the torment to all of them." He said; "And I heard Abu Bakr say; "O people, stay away from lies, for indeed lies distance you from faith.
HONESTY AS THE WAY TO HEAVEN AND THE DANGERS OF LYING

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُمَيْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ رَجُلًا مِنْ حِمْيَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَوْسَطَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَوْسَطَ الْبَجَلِيِّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْأَوَّلِ مَقَامِي هَذَا ثُمَّ بَكَى ثُمَّ قَالَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالصِّدْقِ فَإِنَّهُ مَعَ الْبِرِّ وَهُمَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْكَذِبَ فَإِنَّهُ مَعَ الْفُجُورِ وَهُمَا فِي النَّارِ وَسَلُوا اللَّهَ الْمُعَافَاةَ فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يُؤْتَ رَجُلٌ بَعْدَ الْيَقِينِ شَيْئًا خَيْرًا مِنْ الْمُعَافَاةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَا تَقَاطَعُوا وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِخْوَانًا
Narrated to us [Hasyim] he said; Narrated to us [the Shu'bah] he said; has informed me [Yazid Bin Khumair] he said; I heard [Sulaim Bin 'Amir] a man from Himyar, telling a story from [Ausath Bin Isma'il Bin Ausath Al Bajali] who told a story from [Abu Bakar], that he heard it when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) died, he said; The Messenger of Allah stood in the first year at my place then cried and said: "Be honest, because honesty is with goodness and both are in heaven, and stay away from lies, because it is with sin and both are in hell, and ask Allah for salvation, because indeed no one is given anything after he believes that is better than salvation." Then he continued, "Do not cut ties with each other, avoid each other, hate each other, and do not envy each other, but be servants of Allah who are brothers.
THE STORY OF ABU BAKAR REMOVING THE FACE COVER OF THE RASULULLAH SHALALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَوْدِيِّ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي طَائِفَةٍ مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ فَجَاءَ فَكَشَفَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ فَقَبَّلَهُ وَقَالَ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي مَا أَطْيَبَكَ حَيًّا وَمَيِّتًا مَاتَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ يَتَقَاوَدَانِ حَتَّى أَتَوْهُمْ فَتَكَلَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَلَمْ يَتْرُكْ شَيْئًا أُنْزِلَ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَا ذَكَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ شَأْنِهِمْ إِلَّا وَذَكَرَهُ وَقَالَ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا وَسَلَكَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا سَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ يَا سَعْدُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَأَنْتَ قَاعِدٌ قُرَيْشٌ وُلَاةُ هَذَا الْأَمْرِ فَبَرُّ النَّاسِ تَبَعٌ لِبَرِّهِمْ وَفَاجِرُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِفَاجِرِهِمْ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ سَعْدٌ صَدَقْتَ نَحْنُ الْوُزَرَاءُ وَأَنْتُمْ الْأُمَرَاءُ
Narrated to us ['Affan] he said; Narrated to us [Abu 'Awanah] from [Daud Bin Abdullah Al Audiy] from [Humaid Bin Abdurrahman] he said; When Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam died, [Abu Bakr] was on the outskirts of Medina, he (Humaid Bin Abdurrahman) said; then he came and opened the cloth covering his face and kissed him and said; "I am willing to accept my father and mother as your ransom, how beautiful your life and death will be, Muhammad shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam has died, and by Rabb the owner of the Kaaba." then he mentioned the hadith. He says; "Then Abu Bakr and Umar went (to the Ansar) who were arguing with each other about leadership, so they met them (the Ansar), then Abu Bakr spoke and did not leave behind anything that had been revealed to the Ansar and nothing that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam had mentioned about them unless he had mentioned them all, and he said; "Indeed you already know that the Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam has said: "If humans pass through one valley and the Ansar pass through another valley, then I will pass through the valley of the Ansar." and you already know, O Sa'd, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said while you were sitting (doing nothing), "the Quraysh are in charge of this matter, so the dutiful people of the people follow the dutiful people of them (the Quraysh) and their disobedient people follow their disobedient people." he says; then [Sa'd] answered Abu Bakr; "You are right, we are the ministers while you are the leaders.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَطَّافُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ قُلْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْعَمَلُ عَلَى مَا فُرِغَ مِنْهُ أَوْ عَلَى أَمْرٍ مُؤْتَنَفٍ قَالَ بَلْ عَلَى أَمْرٍ قَدْ فُرِغَ مِنْهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ فَفِيمَ الْعَمَلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ كُلٌّ مُيَسَّرٌ لِمَا خُلِقَ لَهُ
Narrated to us [Ali Bin 'Ayyasy] he said; Narrated to us [Al 'Aththaf Bin Khalid] he said; Has told me [a man] from the people of Bashroh, from [Thalhah Bin Abdullah Bin Abdurrahman Bin Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq] he said; I heard [my father] mention that [his father] heard [Abu Bakr] say; I asked Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam; "O Messenger of Allah, are actions based on things that have been established or on new things?" He answered: "But based on matters that have been determined." he said, I asked; "So what is the purpose of doing good deeds, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "It is easy for everyone to do good deeds in accordance with the purpose for which they were created.
UTSMAN TELLS THE TROUBLE OF THE FRIENDS AFTER THE DEATH OF THE RASULULLAH SHALALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْفِقْهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رِجَالًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَزِنُوا عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى كَادَ بَعْضُهُمْ يُوَسْوِسُ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ وَكُنْتُ مِنْهُمْ فَبَيْنَا أَنَا جَالِسٌ فِي ظِلِّ أُطُمٍ مِنْ الْآطَامِ مَرَّ عَلَيَّ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيَّ فَلَمْ أَشْعُرْ أَنَّهُ مَرَّ وَلَا سَلَّمَ فَانْطَلَقَ عُمَرُ حَتَّى دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَا يُعْجِبُكَ أَنِّي مَرَرْتُ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ السَّلَامَ وَأَقْبَلَ هُوَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي وِلَايَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حَتَّى سَلَّمَا عَلَيَّ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ جَاءَنِي أَخُوكَ عُمَرُ فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ مَرَّ عَلَيْكَ فَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ تَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ فَمَا الَّذِي حَمَلَكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ قَالَ قُلْتُ مَا فَعَلْتُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بَلَى وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ فَعَلْتَ وَلَكِنَّهَا عُبِّيَّتُكُمْ يَا بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَاللَّهِ مَا شَعَرْتُ أَنَّكَ مَرَرْتَ وَلَا سَلَّمْتَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ صَدَقَ عُثْمَانُ وَقَدْ شَغَلَكَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ أَمْرٌ فَقُلْتُ أَجَلْ قَالَ مَا هُوَ فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ تَوَفَّى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ نَبِيَّهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ نَسْأَلَهُ عَنْ نَجَاةِ هَذَا الْأَمْرِ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَدْ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ قَالَ فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي أَنْتَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا نَجَاةُ هَذَا الْأَمْرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ قَبِلَ مِنِّي الْكَلِمَةَ الَّتِي عَرَضْتُ عَلَى عَمِّي فَرَدَّهَا عَلَيَّ فَهِيَ لَهُ نَجَاةٌ
Narrated to us [Abul Yaman] he said; has reported to us [Syu'aib] from [Az Zuhri] he said; has informed me [a man expert in jurisprudence from the Ansar], that he heard [Uthman Bin 'Affan] telling a story; that there were several companions of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam who were sad when the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam died, so that almost half of them became anxious, Uthman said; "And I was among them, while I was sitting under the shade of a wall, Umar passed by me and greeted me, but I did not perceive that he passed by and greeted me, so he passed by until he came to Abu Bakr, and then he said to him: "There is something that will surprise you, indeed I passed by Uthman and greeted him, but he did not respond to my greeting." So during the reign of Abu Bakr, Umar and Abu Bakr came and both greeted me, then Abu Bakr said: "Your brother Umar has come to me and said that he passed by you and greeted you, but you did not respond to him, so what made you do that?" He said, I replied: "I did not do it." So Umar said: "Yes, by Allah, you did it, but that was because of your arrogance, O Umayyah." He said, I replied: "By Allah, I never perceived that you passed by and greeted me." Abu Bakr said: "Uthman is right, indeed you have been busy with something from him." So I said: "Yes." Umar ask; "What business is that?" then Uthman said; "Allah passed away his Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam before we asked him about the safety of this matter," Abu Bakr said; "I have asked him about the affair," he said; so I stood up to him and said to him "by my father and mother you have more rights over him," [Abu Bakr] said; I asked; O Messenger of Allah, how is this safe? then Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "whoever receives a sentence from me that I once offered to my uncle and then returns it to me, then that sentence will be a salvation for him.
