حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ قَالَ خَرَجْتُ حَاجًّا فَجِئْتُ حَتَّى دَخَلْتُ الْبَيْتَ فَلَمَّا كُنْتُ بَيْنَ السَّارِيَتَيْنِ مَضَيْتُ حَتَّى لَزِقْتُ بِالْحَائِطِ فَجَاءَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَصَلَّى إِلَى جَنْبِي فَصَلَّى أَرْبَعًا فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قُلْتُ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْبَيْتِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى هَاهُنَا فَقُلْتُ كَمْ صَلَّى قَالَ عَلَى هَذَا أَجِدُنِي أَلُومُ نَفْسِي إِنِّي مَكَثْتُ مَعَهُ عُمُرًا لَمْ أَسْأَلْهُ كَمْ صَلَّى ثُمَّ حَجَجْتُ مِنْ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ فَجِئْتُ فَقُمْتُ فِي مَقَامِهِ فَجَاءَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَصَلَّى فِيهِ أَرْبَعًا

Narrated to us [Abu Mu'awiyah] related to us [Al A'mash] from [Umarah] from [Abu Sha'tsa`] who said, "I went out for Hajj, then I came until I entered the Ka'bah, when I was between the two pillars I passed until I touched the wall. Then [Ibn Umar] came and prayed four rak'ahs beside me, after the prayer I asked him, 'In which part of the Ka'bah did the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) pray?' He replied, ['Usamah Ibn Zaid] told us that he prayed here.' Then I asked, 'How many rak'ahs did he pray?' He replied, 'Because of this I am angry with myself, I lived with him for so long but I never asked him.' Then I performed Hajj the following year, then I came and prayed in the place where Ibn Abbas used to pray, then Ibn Zubair came and prayed four rak'ahs in that place.
