حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا ضَحَّى اشْتَرَى كَبْشَيْنِ سَمِينَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ فَإِذَا صَلَّى وَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ أَتَى بِأَحَدِهِمَا وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ فَذَبَحَهُ بِنَفْسِهِ بِالْمُدْيَةِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ هَذَا عَنْ أُمَّتِي جَمِيعًا مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ لَكَ بِالتَّوْحِيدِ وَشَهِدَ لِي بِالْبَلَاغِ ثُمَّ يُؤْتَى بِالْآخَرِ فَيَذْبَحُهُ بِنَفْسِهِ وَيَقُولُ هَذَا عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فَيُطْعِمُهُمَا جَمِيعًا الْمَسَاكِينَ وَيَأْكُلُ هُوَ وَأَهْلُهُ مِنْهُمَا فَمَكَثْنَا سِنِينَ لَيْسَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ يُضَحِّي قَدْ كَفَاهُ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْنَةَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْغُرْمَ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ فَذَكَرَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ

Narrated to us [Abu 'Amir], he said, Narrated to us [Zuhair] from ['Abdullah bin Muhammad] from ['Ali bin Husain] from [Abu Rafi'] a former slave of Rasulullah Peace be upon him, that if Rasulullah Peace be upon him sacrificed, he bought two sheep that were fat and had horns and were of good quality. When he prayed and preached in front of people, he brought one of them (a sacrificial animal), while standing in front of the place of prayer, he then slaughtered it himself with a knife. After that he said: "O Allah, indeed this is from my Ummah, all of them who testify to Your oneness and testify to my message." Then another (sacrificial animal) was brought in, then he slaughtered it himself, saying: "This is from Muhammad and Muhammad's family." Then he fed the poor people from both (sacrificial animals), he and his family also ate the meat. After that we lived for many years and none of the Banu Hashim family sacrificed afterwards, because Allah had satisfied the sacrifices made by the Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him and the ransom." Narrated to us [Zakaria bin 'Adi] said, has informed us ['Ubaidullah] - namely Ibn 'Amru- from ['Abdullah bin Muhammad bin 'Aqil] from ['Ali bin Husain] then he mentioned sanad and its meaning.
