حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْحُشُوشَ مُحْتَضَرَةٌ فَإِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلْ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Ja'far] Narrated to us [Syu'bah] and [Hajjaj] he said, has narrated to me [Syu'bah] from [Qatadah] from [An Nadlr bin Anas] from [Zaid bin Arqam] that the Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him said: "Verily these privies (toilets) are attended by shaytan. So if one of you enters, let him say: 'ALLAHUMMA INNII A'UUDZU BIKA MINAL KHUBUTSI WAL KHABAA`ITS (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from male shaytan and female shaytan).'
