حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ ذُكِرَ لِي أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ مِنْهُ إِنَّ فِيكُمْ قَوْمًا يَعْبُدُونَ وَيَدْأَبُونَ يَعْنِي يُعْجِبُونَ النَّاسَ وَتُعْجِبُهُمْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنْ الدِّينِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنْ الرَّمِيَّةِ

Narrated to us [Isma'il] Narrated to us [Sulaiman al-Taimi] Narrated to us [Anas bin Malik] said, there was news that reached me and I did not hear it directly, that the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said: "Among you there is a group of people who worship (Allah) and make people admire them and they themselves are amazed at themselves, they leave religion as an arrow is released from a bow.
