حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ كَانَ الْمُؤَلَّفَةُ قُلُوبُهُمْ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعَةً عَلْقَمَةَ بْنَ عُلَاثَةَ الْجَعْفَرِيَّ وَالْأَقْرَعَ بْنَ حَابِسٍ الْحَنْظَلِيَّ وَزَيْدَ الْخَيْلِ الطَّائِيَّ وَعُيَيْنَةَ بْنَ بَدْرٍ الْفَزَارِيَّ قَالَ فَقَدِمَ عَلِيٌّ بِذَهَبَةٍ مِنْ الْيَمَنِ بِتُرْبَتِهَا فَقَسَمَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَهُمْ

Narrated to us [Waki'] said: [my father] Narrated to us from [Sa'id bin Masruq] from [Ibn Abu Nu'm] from [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] he said: At the time of The Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him al mu`allafatu quluubuhum (people whose hearts needed to be softened) there were four people: Alqomah bin Ulatsah Al Ja'fari, Al Aqro` bin Habis Al Hanzlali, Zaid Al Khaili Ath Tho`i and 'Uyainah bin Badar Al Fazari. Abu Sa'id said: Ali came with dusty gold from Yemen, and the Prophet distributed it to them.
