Nabi tidak menerima sedekah namun beliau berkenan memakan hadiah
Imam Ahmad : 8896حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ سَأَلَ عَنْهُ فَإِنْ قِيلَ هَدِيَّةٌ أَكَلَ وَإِنْ قِيلَ صَدَقَةٌ قَالَ كُلُوا وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ
Narrated to us ['Affan] Narrated to us [Hammad] from [Muhammad bin Ziyad] said: I heard [Abu Hurairah] say: Indeed, if the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him was served food by someone who was not from his family, he would ask about the food, if it was said that it was a gift then he would eat it, and if it was said that it was alms, then he would say: "Eat it," and he would not eat it.
