حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ وَعَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى لَا يَصْبُغُونَ فَخَالِفُوهُمْ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَالْأَمْرُ بِالْأَصْبَاغِ فَأَحْلَكُهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيْنَا قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ وَكَانَ الزُّهْرِيُّ يَخْضِبُ بِالسَّوَادِ

Narrated to us [Abdurrazzaq] Narrated to us [Ma'mar] and [Abdul A'la] from [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from [Abu Salamah] from [Abu Hurairah], he said: The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Indeed, Jews and Christians do not dye their hair with polish, so separate them." Abdurrazzaq mentioned in his history: Az Zuhri said: "As for the order to dye hair, we prefer black." Ma'mar said: "Az Zuhri dyed her hair black.
