Imam Ahmad : 3370

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَنْبَأَنَا مُغِيرَةُ عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ سُورَةِ النِّسَاءِ فَلَمَّا بَلَغْتُ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ { فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ شَهِيدًا } قَالَ فَفَاضَتْ عَيْنَاهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Narrated to us [Husyaim] had reported to us [Mughirah] from [Abu Razin] from [Ibn Mas'ud] he said : I read the letter An Nisa` to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, when I came to this verse: (So what will it be like (for the disbelievers later), if we bring a witness (rasul) from each community and we bring you (Muhammad) as a witness for them (as your people)), he said : Then tears flowed from his eyes, shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam.
