Imam Bukhari : 4747حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَيَأْثُرُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا وَلَا تَحَسَّسُوا وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا وَكُونُوا إِخْوَانًا وَلَا يَخْطُبُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَنْكِحَ أَوْ يَتْرُكَ
Narrated to us Yahya bin Bukair, narrated to us Al Laith from Ja'far bin Rabi'ah from Al A'raj, he said: Abu Hurairah said, narrating from the Prophet peace be upon him, he said, "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most deceitful of speech. Do not spy or seek out faults, do not hate one another, and be brothers. A man must not propose over his brother's proposal until he marries or leaves.
