ISLAM AL-HAQ: QURAN & HADITH
(The True Islam)

Narrated to me by [Ali bin Hujr] informed us [Isma'il bin Ibrahim] from [Hisyam, his brother Dastawa`i] from [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] from [Hilal bin Abu Maimunah] from [Atha` bin Yasar] from [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] he said Once the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sat on the pulpit, while we sat around him. Then he said: ""What I fear for you all after I am gone is Allah's favor upon you in the form of worldly property adornment."" Then a man asked, ""Is it possible that something good brings evil, O Messenger of Allah?"" Hearing that question, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was silent. Then it was said to the questioning companion, ""What do you think, you asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), but he did not answer your question?"" The man replied, ""I thought, perhaps revelation was being sent down to him."" After regaining consciousness, he wiped his sweat, then said: ""Indeed, this questioner (is a smart questioner)"" -he said it with an attitude like praising-. Then he said: ""Indeed, goodness will not bring evil. But what is grown in the rainy season, sometimes can kill or hurt. Except for the eater of vegetables who eats only until full, then he faces the sun, then defecates or urinates, after that only then eats again. Indeed, worldly property appears green and sweet. But the best property of a Muslim is what he gives in charity to the poor or to orphans or to travelers (someone on a journey)."" Or as said by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), ""Whoever obtains property not halal, then he is like someone who eats but never feels full (satisfied). And that property will be a witness to his greed on the Day of Resurrection.""
