حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ { حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ } وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ فَقَرَأْنَاهَا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ نَسَخَهَا اللَّهُ فَنَزَلَتْ { حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى } فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ كَانَ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ شَقِيقٍ لَهُ هِيَ إِذَنْ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ فَقَالَ الْبَرَاءُ قَدْ أَخْبَرْتُكَ كَيْفَ نَزَلَتْ وَكَيْفَ نَسَخَهَا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ مُسْلِم وَرَوَاهُ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ قَرَأْنَاهَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَمَانًا بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ

Nos foi dito [Ishaq bin Ibrahim Al Hanzhali], nos foi dito [Yahya bin Adam], nos foi dito [Al Fudlail bin Marzuq], de [Syaqiq bin 'Uqbah], de [Al Barra` bin 'Azib], que disse: "Guardai com vós todas as orações existentes". Este versículo foi revelado durante a oração do Asr, então o lemos como Allah quis por um tempo, então Allah o abençoou até que o versículo foi revelado: "Guardai com vós todas as orações existentes e as orações de wustha" (QS. Albaqarah 238). Então, alguém que estava sentado com Fudlail bin Marzuq disse a Syaqiq: "A oração de wustha mencionada é a oração do Asr". Então Al Barra comentou: Eu já te contei como o versículo foi revelado e como Allah o confirmou, e Allah sabe melhor." Muslim disse: E este hadith também foi narrado por [Al Asyja'i] de [Sufyan Ats Tsauri] de [Al Aswad bin Qais] de [Syaqiq bin 'Uqbah] de [Al Barra` bin 'Azib], disse Al Barra`, nós o lemos com o Profeta sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, por algum tempo, como o hadith de Fudlail bin Marzuq.
